Deposits

Put your money to work with us

The society accepts member deposits. The rate we print on our banners — and on this site — is 8.75% a year for senior-citizen fixed deposits.

Savings

A running member account for surplus you may need back. Rate and minimums are set at the counter.

Recurring deposit

A fixed sum every month, for a chosen term. Useful for school fees, a wedding, or a shop renovation.

General FD

Term deposits for members who are not senior citizens. Ask the desk for the current slab — we do not invent a number here.

How a fixed deposit works here

  1. 1.Become a member if you are not already on the register.
  2. 2.Choose a term and an amount. Senior citizens are booked on the 8.75% advertised slab.
  3. 3.Interest is applied as per the society’s FD rules (the calculator on this site uses quarterly compounding as a planning estimate).
  4. 4.Premature withdrawal, nomination and TDS follow the society’s current by-laws — confirm at the desk.

8.75% is the senior-citizen FD rate shown on the society’s own banner. Other schemes and the exact day-count method are confirmed when you book the deposit.

Loans

Member loans at 12% a year

One published rate. No teaser. No “from 12%”. Members borrow at 12% per year. Tenure, security and processing are settled across the desk — not in a dark pattern.

What members typically borrow for

Household & personal

Medical bills, education, a family ceremony, or closing a costlier private loan.

Shop & livelihood

Stock, a sewing machine, a tempo, or a quiet expansion of a family business.

Vehicle

A two-wheeler or a used four-wheeler, with papers the society can take comfort in.

House repair

A roof, a room, or a small extension — not a 20-year housing-bank product.

What you will need

  1. 1.Active membership on the society register.
  2. 2.Identity and address papers, and income or business proof as asked.
  3. 3.A clear purpose and a repayment plan the desk can underwrite.
  4. 4.Security or surety if the by-laws require it for that amount.

12% a year is the rate given for this site. Sanction, tenure and any charges sit with the managing committee and the current by-laws.
